Ingredients

  • 2 large chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon Backyard Blendz Green Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Additional chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Season the chicken breasts with BackYard Blendz Original Green Seasoning, salt and black pepper.
    • Marinate for 30 minutes
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
    • Remove the chicken from the skillet, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into strips.
  2. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
    • Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
    • Drain the pasta, reserving about 1 cup of the pasta water, and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Alfredo Sauce:
    • In the same skillet used for the chicken, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
    • Reduce the heat to low and gradually whisk in the Parmesan and cheddar cheeses until melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce:
    • Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet with the Alfredo sauce.
    • Toss to coat the pasta evenly with the sauce.
    • If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water a little at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  5. Serve:
    • Add the sliced chicken on top of the pasta.
    • Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley for garnish if desired.
