BackYard Blendz is a fresh Caribbean seasoning range made in Trinidad. The range includes two Green Seasonings, Original and Spicy, plus three Jerk Seasonings, Mild, Medium and Hell. All five retail flavours come in 170g resealable pouches and are made without preservatives, additives or fillers.
Green Seasoning is a fresh herb blend built around classic Caribbean ingredients such as chive, garlic, thyme, pimento, ginger, celery and bhandanya, also known as chadon beni or culantro. It is versatile enough for chicken, fish, stews, curries, vegetables, eggs, pasta and more.
Jerk Seasoning has a deeper sweet, savoury and spiced profile, with ingredients such as orange juice, brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, black pepper and thyme. It is especially good for marinades, grilling, roasting and BBQ style cooking.

What goes into the pouch, and what does not.
No. BackYard Blendz is made without preservatives, artificial additives or fillers. Because the blends are fresh, they must be kept refrigerated.
Green Original contains chive, garlic, thyme, pimento, ginger, celery, bhandanya and salt. Green Spicy uses the same herb base with hot peppers added for heat.
Yes, Green Seasoning contains a small amount of salt as part of the recipe. Season your food to taste and adjust any additional salt you use in the dish accordingly.
Our product development programme includes laboratory analysis for microbiological and nutritional parameters. We use those results internally to support product quality, labelling and food safety controls.

How to Use BackYard Blendz
Fresh Caribbean flavour without the prep.
Green Seasoning: start with about 1 tablespoon per 1 lb of meat or protein, then adjust to taste.
Jerk Seasoning: use about ¼ cup per 1 lb of meat or protein for a full jerk flavour, then adjust to taste.
Rub or mix the seasoning evenly through your food so the flavour is distributed throughout.
For best flavour, allow at least 30 minutes after seasoning. Longer marinating can deepen the flavour, depending on the protein and recipe.
Use it with chicken, fish, shrimp, beef, vegetables, stews, curries, rice dishes, eggs, pasta, sauces, soups and more. It works as both a marinade and an everyday cooking base.
Jerk Seasoning works well with chicken, pork, fish, shrimp, vegetables and plant based proteins. Use it for grilling, roasting, air frying, BBQ, marinades and quick flavour boosts.

Fresh seasoning performs best when it stays cold.
BackYard Blendz is a fresh seasoning made without preservatives. Keep the pouch refrigerated at approximately 3°C to protect freshness and product quality.
When kept properly refrigerated at approximately 3°C, BackYard Blendz has a shelf life of about five months. Always follow the best before date and storage instructions printed on the pouch.
Yes. Freezing is an option if you want to keep the seasoning for longer. Keep the pouch properly sealed and thaw only what you need while maintaining good food handling practices.
