Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp BackYard Blendz Green Seasoning – Spicy Blend
  • 2 tsp Cajun powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • 1/2 large onion
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 lemon, cut into wedges (for garnish)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Place the shrimp in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Make the Seasoning Mix:
    • In a small bowl, combine the BackYard Blendz Green Seasoning, Cajun powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), onion, salt, and pepper.
    • Mix well to combine all the spices.
  3. Season the Shrimp:
    • Drizzle the olive oil over the shrimp and toss to coat evenly.
    • Add the Seasoning mixture to the shrimp and toss until all shrimp are well-coated.
    • Cover and Marinate the shrimp in the refrigerator.
  4. Cook the Shrimp:
    • Heat a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
    • Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Serve:
    • Transfer the cooked shrimp to a serving platter.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.
    • Serve hot as an appetizer or main dish, accompanied by your favourite sides such as rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.

Tip: Make it less spicy by using our Original Blend Seasoning in place of the original blend.
